The Sharan is a proper seven-seat MPV with sliding doors — far more practical than any seven-seat SUV.
Sliding rear doors make car parks and school runs vastly easier with children, and all three rear seats fold flat into the floor. SUVs have largely replaced MPVs, which makes these very good used value.
The 2.0 TDI is the engine most were sold with and suits the car. Check the sliding door mechanisms and the electric tailgate, which are the parts that see the most use.
