The Born is the ID.3 with the interesting bits turned up — same underpinnings, sharper handling and a much better cabin.
Cupra took Volkswagen's electric platform and gave it proper seats, a darker interior and firmer suspension. It is the enthusiast's version of a sensible electric hatchback.
The larger battery is worth having if you do any distance. The bucket seats are the highlight of the interior and worth seeking out on higher trims.
