Car buying tips for learners

Aug 17, 2020 | News From LMC | 0 comments

So you are learning to drive and cannot wait to get your first car. We remember that feeling well and there will be no feeling like sitting in your own car for the first time. Here are our buying tips to help you find the first car that is right for you.

Size

How big do you need the car to be? Think about where you will be driving and parking and find a car that is suitable for your needs. You may be learning and have a family to consider then think about that too, but having a car that is too big or too small can be extremely frustrating.

Purpose

Following on from that, what will you be using the car for? Whether it is weekends away or getting from A to B once you have passed your test, this will play a factor in what kind of car you opt for. If you will be covering a lot of miles, keep that in mind and you might want to check out the mileage on your used car if this is the case.

Price

How much do you want to spend? You might be super cautious and careful but first cars tend to fall victim to the odd knock and scrape. Keep this in mind and set a budget for how much you would like to spend and stick to that figure.

Age

Does the age of the car matter? Are you looking for nearly new or used? Think about how much this matters to you and remember that age will play a large part in the price of the vehicle too.
